Apparently the hours posted on Website are not reliable. We went out yesterday to enjoy a relaxing evening on the extremely calm water. The sky was promising a beautiful sunset so we called some friends from out of town to come and join us. They arrived around 7 PM and found the entrance gate closed! (Posted closing time, 10 PM) WHAT A BUMMER! My husband and I have used Westcliff for launching our boat since the closing of Sparta 2 years ago. We really miss the convenience of Sparta Park! Westcliff's ramp & courtesy dock are in need of repair!
The elderly couple were very friendly park attendants! She accommodated us with what we wanted not once but twice. I have never seen a campsite as clean as this one! The bathrooms and showers were literally five star! Very nice very clean! It's a nice place to camp if you like quiet family fun! Quiet time is at 10 o'clock so when you're ready to go off to sleep under the stars there is nobody keeping you from it! I highly recommend this campsite!
Nice and clean park. Nice parking area. If it had septic it would be a 5.
Be cause it's a good place to camp and lots of nice people and good swimming
